It’s almost impossible to avoid the news of tragic events, new or old, as it’s spread across television, online news sources, and even our favorite online gaming communities! That said, we strive to keep Core a scared bubble away from the world’s messiness. The following are not permitted in games or content on Core:
- Real terrorist or extremist acts where the player or teammates (including NPC teammates) are responsible for or participating in the act
- Any terrorist or extremist acts targeting civilians where the player or teammates (including NPC teammates) are responsible for or participating in the act
- Controversial armed conflict, including genocide or ethnic cleansing where the player or teammates (including NPC teammates) are a participant in advocating for or carrying out genocide, ethnic cleansing, or other controversial acts, including certain war crimes as defined by the Geneva Convention.
- Mass shootings targeting schools.
- Mass shootings targeting malls, churches, or other public gathering places where the player or teammates (including NPC teammates) are responsible for or participating in the act.
- School, mall, church, or other public gathering place shootings (non-mass) where the player or teammates (including NPC teammates) are responsible for or participating in the act.
- Recent illness, injury, or death of prominent figures regardless of how long it has been since they were “active” or relevant.
- Current or recent real epidemics or pandemics or where the name is a parody of a current or recent real epidemic or pandemic
- Promoting or advocating for terrorist or extremist acts, real armed conflict, school shootings, mass shootings, or other tragic, controversial, or sensitive acts.
