The use of “Core” as a main or central focus of a content’s title is reserved for games created and published by the Core development team or its individual team members on behalf of Manticore Games, Inc (e.g. Core Royale, Core Plaza, etc.)
Creators are permitted some liberty to use “core” as an element of their game's title. These instances will be reserved for “core” in its noun form (e.g. “Core of the Earth”) or as a suffix (e.g. “Megacore”) or element of a name (e.g. Apocorelypse). Any capitalization of “core” outside of these instances that creates emphasis (e.g. “Core Lacrosse”, “StoreCore”) will require change. Please see below for examples:
Please note that this list is by no means exhaustive and titles found not in accordance with this policy will be at the discretion of Manticore Games, Inc.
Creators of games that are not in accordance with this policy will be asked to change the title. The request for changing the title will come from Customer Support in the form of a support ticket/request with instructions on how to change the name of the game. While awaiting the name change, the game will be set to Unlisted and made private.
If you haven’t been contacted yet and your name is not in accordance with Core’s naming policy, please change it within Core as shown below:
Once contacted by Support, creators have 72 hours to respond to the request for a change of name. If Support has not received a response within that period, the game will be suspended until Support has received a response from the creator and the name of the game has been changed.
In the event of a suspension, the suspension will be lifted and the game will be made available again for playing once the creator has responded to support and the name has been changed.
Again, please note that this policy applies only to games published on or after October 6, 2020 - games published prior to this date are exempt.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Support.
