Creating & Hosting Events

Creating & Hosting Events

Events are scheduled in-game gatherings hosted by creators within Core. They can include events and activities such as:

  • Tournaments
  • Parties
  • Concerts
  • Meetups
  • Playtests
  • ...and more!

Creating an Event

Creators can make an Event for their game(s) from their Creator Portal on the coregames.com website (Events can only be made via the website - they are unable to be made from the Core Editor).

For all the ins-and-outs of creating an Event, please check out this article on our Docs site.

Registering for an Event

There are several locations and ways within Core to register for an Event. These are:

  • Event Cards (under "Events" on the ESC Menu)
  • Event Details
  • Core World
  • In-Game

Once you have located the Event you wish to join, simply click the “Register” button. After registering, you will be able to view that Event and all others you have registered for by going to “Registered Events” within “My Games & Events”, which can be found under the “Play” tab in Core:

Additionally, your Registered Events can also be viewed in "News & Events" when in Core World:

Removing an Event

Should you need to remove an Event you have registered for, go to the Event in one of the aforementioned locations and click the “Registered” button. This will remove you from the Event as well as remove the Event from your list.

To re-register for an Event, simply perform the registration steps listed above again.

Canceled Events

If a creator cancels an Event you are registered for, it will display as “Canceled” in your list of Registered Events. If you would like to remove the canceled Event from your list, click the “Registered” button and it will disappear. Additionally, Events that have concluded, including those that are canceled, will disappear once their scheduled end date has passed.
